Cold Smoked Venison is a very delicate, elegant smoked meat, with a soft texture and a good balance of saltiness and sweetness. All of our venison is wild and not farmed and the deer roam freely across the Highlands. Prime haunch of venison is brined, cured and smoked over whisky infused oak smoke and thinly sliced - it tastes exquisite! A superb starter, it's easy to use, and makes fantastic canapes.

Roast venison is "Hot Smoked", due to being roasted to perfection after being cured and smoked. This meat has a gamey, intense, smoky flavour that nonetheless has subtlety and complexity. The slices are thicker than the more delicate cold smoked venison and make superb gourmet sandwiches such as Smoked Venison Wrap with Beetroot and Orange Chutney.
